Information about ICATS licensing, authorization codes, and how to activate your system and access training modules.

License Activation

Your ICATS system requires license activation to access all features. Activation is automated and does not require contacting support.

No Support Contact Required: License activation is fully automated. You only need your authorization code from your purchase. See Step 7: Updates & Modules for activation steps.

How to Activate

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Licensing in ICATS system
  2. Enter your authorization code (found in purchase email or packaging)
  3. Submit activation request (requires internet connection)
  4. License activates automatically (no support contact needed)

Authorization Code

Your authorization code is provided with your purchase:

  • Check your purchase confirmation email
  • Look in the packaging (printed on card or label)
  • Check your order details if purchased online

Important: Keep your authorization code safe. You may need it for re-activation if you replace your SD card or perform a system reset.

Module Access

Training modules are included with your package or can be purchased separately. Module access is tied to your license:

  • Core modules are included with all ICATS packages
  • Additional modules can be purchased and added to your license
  • Module access is managed through Settings -> Modules

Common Issues

Activation Failed

If activation fails, check:

  • Authorization code is entered correctly (no spaces, exact match)
  • Internet connection is active
  • System date is correct (incorrect date can cause activation failures)
  • Code hasn't been used on another system (codes are single-use)

Modules Not Accessible

If modules aren't accessible:

  • Verify license is activated
  • Check that modules are included with your package or purchased
  • Update system software (some modules require latest version)
  • Check module installation status in Settings -> Modules

Re-Activation Needed

If you replaced your SD card or reset your system, you may need to re-activate. Use the same authorization code. Re-activation is automatic if the code hasn't been used on another system.
